The clear goal is to increase customer satisfaction through regional warehousing for instance, which would result in shorter distribution channels. To achieve this, 4flow will create end-to-end transparency for RECARO’s existing network, determine optimal locations and inventories for the planned warehouses and develop an efficient transportation concept.
A global provider of premium aircraft seating, RECARO employs more than 2,700 people and generated more than 700 million euros in revenue in 2019. A significant portion of this revenue comes from the highly dynamic area of aftersales: about 30,000 various spare parts in many different sizes are shipped to more than 200 customers across the globe – whether its materials for refitting an aircraft’s entire economy class with new screens or reordered screws for individual maintenance.
“Quality, reliability and efficiency are, along with ingenious design, key factors for success at RECARO. Because of this, we are always putting processes and structures to the test to continuously make improvements and use optimization possibilities,” said Dr. Mark Hiller, CEO at RECARO Aircraft Seating. “With 4flow we have found a very experienced partner for the planning of our supply chain – who can support us in setting up our spare parts network in a way that is flexible, customer-oriented and future-proof."
"We look forward to working with one of the leading global manufacturers of aircraft seats and are proud of the trust that RECARO has placed in us," said Kai Althoff, CEO of 4flow. "With our proven methods, we will work with RECARO to gain a significant competitive advantage in the essential area of aftersales."
