What are the current challenges faced by transportation managers? How can processes be harmonized and costs be reduced? And how can distribution networks be optimized through strategic planning? These were among the questions that were addressed throughout the lecture. There followed a brief introduction to the standard software for supply chain and transportation planning 4flow vista®, where students were encouraged to test the tool for themselves by visualizing transportation flows and calculating network costs.
