Highlights from the International Supply Chain Conference from BVL 2024

4flow presents four speaking sessions

4flow was on-site at the International Supply Chain Conference in Berlin, Germany, once again this year and contributed to the program of sessions and panels. The 4flow booth, where our technology partner Kinaxis co-exhibited, focused on sustainability, agility, digitization and cost reduction. In three expert sessions, 4flowers presented or moderated discussions about innovation and supply chain success stories.

Kai Althoff, CEO of 4flow and member of the board at BVL, moderated the session “Supply Chain Management Software - Rise of the Machines”. He spoke with Anand Medepalli of Shippeo, Andrew Bell of Kinaxis and Dominik Mark Metzger of SAP about how generative AI, supply chain convergence, real-time decision-making and other software trends will shape the supply chains of tomorrow.

Dr. Marc Schleyer, partner at 4flow, spoke with Christian Lippolt from Robert Bosch GmbH on “How to transform supply chain planning to automated, integrated, fast and efficient?” They both provided practical insights into a complex supply chain planning transformation and the implementation of Kinaxis RapidResponse.

Lennart Brüggemann-von Ackern, partner at 4flow and member of the BVL focus group on e-commerce, moderated the panel "Digitalization success stories for consumer goods supply chains". In this session, Francois-Regis Le Tourneau from L'Oréal spoke about "Digitalization as an enabler of sustainability" and Christian Krebs of Unilever Supply Chain Services GmbH provided insights on the topic of “Digitalization of order management”.

Another highlight was the networking event for women in supply chain hosted by 4flow, which brought together experts from business and academia. In a relaxed atmosphere with music, finger food and drinks, the attendees discussed the integration of AI in logistics networks.

4flow also welcomed the next generation of supply chain talent at the event. After applying, selected students received a 3-day ticket to the conference and had the chance to discuss supply chain with 4flow experts over lunch, at a get-together at the 4flow booth as well as during dinner together.
