The competition will begin on October 2, 2023 when the case study task is announced. You will have until October 24, 2023 to submit your results.

Participation is open to teams of bachelor’s and master’s students studying at Hungarian universities, ideally with a concentration in supply chain or logistics. The best teams will be invited to the competition finals on November 16, 2023, at La Vida DUNA Rendezvényház in Budapest.

During the competition finals, participants will have the opportunity to network with experienced supply chain professionals onsite. You will also get a realistic impression of what it’s like to work at 4flow as a supply chain analyst and the opportunity to talk to experienced 4flowers about career opportunities, while networking with other students.

How can FMCG businesses strike the right balance between cost-efficient practices, product integrity and sustainability goals?

In the supply chain innovators competition, you and your team will develop a concept for optimizing the transportation network for an FMCG business. This will be done by defining the right means of transportation based on a range of factors – from product characteristics to distance and market trends.

Using analytical skills and creative thinking, you will develop solutions to restructure the organization's supply chain. These optimized strategies will enable the business to quickly adapt to changing conditions, stay ahead of its competitors and deliver on its quality promise.

Registration ends on October 1, 2023

The competition will run from October 2 to November 16, 2023. Participation is open to teams consisting of 3 to 4 bachelor’s and/or master’s students from Hungarian universities, ideally with a concentration in supply chain and logistics.

Case study – Announcement date

Date: October 2, 2023 10:00am (CET)

All those who register for the competition will receive the case study via email.

 

Q&A Session

Date: October 10, 2023 10:00am - 11:00am (CET)

Q&A session will be hosted on MS Teams. All those who registered will receive an invitation (along with details) to the virtual meeting.

 

Submission deadline

Date: October 24, 2023 23:59pm (CET)

Judging phase of first round

Date: October 25, 2023 to November 5, 2023

Submissions will be evaluated by experienced 4flowers based on predetermined criteria.

 

Announcement of first round evaluations

Date: November 6, 2023

Each team will receive feedback on their submissions via email. The list of teams that qualify for the second round will be published here soon.

 

Final round onsite (Budapest)

Date: November 16, 2023

The final round will take place at La Vida DUNA Rendezvényház (Hungary - 1138 Budapest, Dunavirág u. 2-6. Gateway Office Park). Teams qualifying for the final round can present a more in-depth version of their case study presentation. However, keep in mind that each team gets 10 minutes for presenting their solution and 5 minutes for Q&A.

During the final round, each team will also be given a case study to solve onsite (equipment will be provided for the presentation)

One or more of the members of our team are not studying supply chain and logistics. Can we participate anyway?

Sure, a strong interest and basic knowledge of supply chain and logistics is all you need.

One or more of the members of our team are currently finishing their degrees or will finish them during the 4flow challenge. Can we participate anyway?

Each member of your team must be actively enrolled at your university when the 4flow challenge begins. If a team member graduates during the competition, the team and the graduating member can continue participating.

Is participation open to students from outside of Hungary?

No, participation is open for students who have active student status at a Hungarian university.

Why does everything need to be submitted in English?

The competition reflects the everyday life of a supply chain professional working with customers from around the world; therefore, English is essential.

How can we register?

The registration phase has ended. You were able to register until October 1.
