Sika, a specialty chemicals company with a globally leading position in the development and production of systems and products for bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing, and protecting in the construction and manufacturing industry, has selected 4flow to develop a logistics concept for its new site in Pinghu, Zhejiang China.
Building on the very positive development over the last years, Sika expects continuous growth for the future. It was therefore decided to expand its production footprint with a new chemical park in Pinghu (Zhejiang province). The new park will combine and expand Sika’s production capacity and will consist of workshops, warehouses, a tank farm, office buildings and additional utility facilities.
Sika is committed to a holistic logistics concept, which is seen as a core element to ensure an efficient and stable operation at the new site. In pursuit of this goal, Sika sought a reliable partner capable of supporting its team and complementing its specific product and process knowledge with proven standard planning approaches and innovative concept ideas. 4flow was selected, because of its expertise as a comprehensive supply chain consulting provider, combining extensive experience in master plan development and traffic concepts for manufacturing parks.
The cooperation was kicked off in September 2023 and Sika’s project sponsor is positively impressed by the cooperation so far: “Together with 4flow, we are confident we can achieve highest process efficiency, implement the right level of automation and lift our operational excellence of the future site to a new level.”
